im helping to pull this rearend from an 89 gt this weekend.
it has 4.10 gears, welded axle tubes and a freshly rebuilt posi unit
i will slip in my moser axles, put on my LPW rearend cover and 5 lug drums..pull my weak and slow 2.73 geared rearend.then start finally making the low 7 and high 6 second passes on juice that i have been looking for.
all for $300.00(a little pricy;i think, but cheaper than buying an after market posi)

Cool! Sounds like you're getting a fair deal. That should make it move out a little better.
Did you break something out at the cruise? Seemed like you were gone early in the day.

i had the rearend in the car the next day, took it to the track that night. the timing lights operator didnt put in my number correctly or just not at all.i couldnt get an accurate timeslip to show what i actually did.
its yuck here today;just a little drizzle and cold.It doesnt matter though,im still going out to change out a wheel cylinder thats leaking.
I had a brand new pair of 26x10 slicks mounted yesterday,i have a full bottle, going to a 200 shot,1 step colder plugs and doing a little retune on the mont.looking to get low 7's with the stock cam.im looking forward to getting real traction right off the line.
here's a vid of the night right after puuting in the rearend.

Man, I can't believe they let all those knuckleheads hang out around the bleachbox like that!:omg::roll:
Got to work on that launch technique!:p:D
That's what I don't like about racing a stick.
Auto tranny, just bring the rpm up against the converter and nail it when the last yellow bulb lights!;)

the burnout box crowd is a sunday night annoyance,it hasnt always been like that.its due to another local track with a ghetto, dangerous crowd that got pissed at their tracks owners;so now they are invading our track.it really isnt safe for them and it makes me uncomfortable doing burnouts, because of the "what if's".i dont want to be responsible for someone getting hurt.
