I don't think regular oil changes were part of the previous owner's maintenance program, or he was a lifetime pennzoil/quaker state user. :p
No matter the engine is on the stand now, and will be torn down sometime in the future, I'm thinking I'll let one of my boys do it.

I most truck motors from the 80's look like that
