You can do it and would be great if you had bucket seats and a Mustang console. Been thinking about doing that to mine since I do have the seats and console.

Don't know about getting a new brake handle assembly but the cables are available new. I'm sure a good used handle won't be hard to find.

the handle on the stangs is a rare item to go bad. Check out the junk yards there's will be plenty to coose from in there.

I could never relocate the E-brake.
After 30 years I got tired of my drink spilling in my lap.
So I made a cup holder out of the coin tray.

I've looked into it.
They're too too complicated IMO. There is a bracket on top of the rear framerail, and another on the vertical part of the floorboard under the rear seat, on both sides.
I was planning on using an early Ebrake tunnel, handle (along with the J bolt so I can adjust it), and 93 cables, they have a liner all the way to the handle, and dont use the bracketry that the earlier cables do. Lack of a welder has had me stalled on this project, (and many more), so I kinda forgot about it while I worked with what I had (wiring, brakes, wiring, some bodywork, more wiring, engine work, and a little more wiring).
Now that its on my mind again, I think I'm going to try to make a bracket for the E brake handle to sit on my stock floorboard, this way I dont have to cut that section and and weld the other tunnel in. Try to make it a drill and bolt on mod, rather than a cut and weld. I'll look into it this weekend, my car isn't here due to my lack of a garage (not to mention the gravel/mud driveway).

Sorry, been out of town for the w/e and just checked back in...I'll scrounge it up and see what it weighs and get back to you with a PM.

One problem I can think of is the 5" difference between the FZ and Mustang Wheelbase. I have a hunch the rear brake cables or the cable coming off the E-brake handle will need to be longer for the FZ.
