View Full Version : Cold air intake on the cheap

Well first off let me say it has been a long time since I posted on this or any other forum due to health issues I wont bore you with the details,
but I am back and due to money being tight I have built my own Cold air intake for the grand total of $42 including filter and heat shield .
I will post some pics so you can see how it looks and I will also post the pics with my home made heat shield and the filter shield that I purchased for $5 later after I get picks with those installed .all parts were purchase here

using parts made by Spectre but all parts are available from you local Checkers or parts America .

and here is the $5 shield I purchased, but I am making my own with a old computer case and rubber seal from the trunk of a junk yard fox mustang

I also will be drilling a hole for charcoal canister and covering its hose with red convoluted tube to make it look better:)
