Working on installing a 88 TC engine and trans in my 79 Notch. The 79 was a carbed 2.3 turbo car minus the engine and trans when I got it. My question is about using the Hydraulic clutch setup from the TC in my 79. I kept the hydraulics from the TC and also the plate that the master goes into around the steering column. The plate will bolt to the floor in the existing hole that is there. Since it is a 79 there is no Quadrant to worry with but the lever that went to the cable won't work with the clutch master. I took the lever off hoping to flip it upside down but that wouldn't work. I've searched the web and it looks like everybody uses a cable setup. I would have to buy parts to do so and would rather have the hydraulic setup. Like an idiot I left the clutch pedals in the TC when it went the crusher. does any one have a picture of the pedal assy. from a TC that shows where the clutch master hooks on? Has anyone ever heard of going this route?

Yeah, I believe you needed that pedal assembly, i've not read any other way of doing it.

You need the hydraulic pedal assy and the boot for the steering column at the firewall from an 87-88TC. The clutch slave mounts on that boot at the firewall.

I should have that whole lot in my garage.

I have the boot at the fire wall. Sounds like I just need the pedal assy. Will you separate? I should be around an hour from you. I work in Columbus.

Quick question.......I'm trying to do the same thing......what all will I have to remove from the turbo coupe engine and tranny so I can get it to work properly in my 82 capri that was originally a v8 set up

I too am doing the same thing, but I scooped everything from the TC, pedals and all the bits for the clutch.

And for 81capri, I took basically everything under the hood plus the entire underhood harness and ecu. I haven't started swapping in the TC parts yet but I'm pretty sure I've got everything I need...and some stuff I don't.
