how would the tach be causing that isnt that an instrument of measurement i know my factory tach is not hooked up to the coil if so i havent noticed it the symptoms seem to make me lean towards the coil being the problem im boggled this never happened before.

If the tach is bad or the tach wire is shorted out somewhere it can ground out the ignition. Been there done that LOL!

Process of elimination. Hook everything up the way it was to begin with and try it. If it is fine start replacing with your new stuff until the car dies at idle and then you will find your problem.

yeah i put it back to the way it was and the problem continues i think its a ground problem or a bad coil.

How in the world could a starter switch or a neutral safety switch cause a car to shut off once it's been started? C'mon guys, think.
It has to be something that was done while installing the new tach. Some wiring was disturbed and some fault was discovered. Bad ground or something.

maybe you knocked a vacuum hose running the wires causing a leak and then when car is put under load in gear it shuts off.
