basic exhaust question

Hey,

I'm just wondering if all tailpipe kits will fit my 82 mercury capri with a 302? Some places have them marked for only 84-93 or whatever, but I thought all foxes had similar chassis?

The difference is the brake line routing on pre 85 cars. The passenger tailpipe will be too close to the brake line from the chassis to the axle.

I have done it 2 ways, I have wrapped the brake line with header wrap, or relocate the line to the center like dual exhaust cars came from the factory.

The other difference is that you will need '86 up headers, stock or aftermarket to bolt onto. Neither the aftermarket nor the stock '86 later mid-pipes are going to bolt onto your '82 manifolds.
