I seen this set of link-bar style roller lifters on cjponyparts.com for a reasonable price, but they say they are for 86-95 302's. My question is shouldn't they work on a non-roller 351W too since they are are link-bar styled lifters?

They should fit all Windsor style motors I believe. I think they're just selling them as stock replacements for motors that were already equipped with roller cams. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense though if they're truely the link-bar style.

Those are just comp cams relacements for the stock roller lifters. They are misleading calling them "Link bar" lifters, they are not, they use the stock dogbones for alignment. I have seen that same description for those lifters on several other sites, someone at comp cams needs to fix it.

They will fit a 351w so long as you use all the other associated parts, dogbones, spider retainer, etc.

I seen the lifters first in the cjponyparts catalog and the picture is of a link-bar lifter but the website doesn't have a pic of them.

I guarantee you that there are NO link bar hydraulic roller lifters available for a ford that cost that little unless they are USED.

If you don't believe me then go ahead and order them and be disappointed.

Absolutely, just need to send me a $300 down payment and $200 monthly for 6 months.

You take checks right?

I'll call them Monday and ask them about these lifters. If they aren't what the the catalog and the website say they are I'll ask them to fix it because it is misleading. Still. $230 is a lot for normal roller lifters.

I would agree they can't be new link bar lifters for that price. You'd have to at least double the price to get link bars.

With that said they should not be described as such. I'll be interested to hear what they tell you when you call about them. Please let us know.

I sent them an email and was told there was an error in the catalog (and the website it seems) and that the lifters pictured in the catalog are now part# LIFTER2 and cost $549.95 and are made by Comp Cams........I wonder if I complained enough I could get a set for the price listed:rolleyes:
