hello, finally, i found a site that can appreciate the 4 eyed foxes. i currently have an 82 gt that i can't wait to get on the road. first car i ever bought that wasn't actually running. i didn't care, i could see the potential it has. was told it needed a flywheel and that was it, besides basic care from having not ran for a year. now i'm told it will need clutch replaced at same time. only promblem i have is i know nothing about cars really, so it's gonna cost me some money to get it going. i'm just hoping that the clutch/flywheel is th eonly promblem. sure would love to drive the damn thing.
i would post pics of my "project" car, but having promblems uploading them. anyone wants to see it, i can email pics to you.if your interested in buying or trading, i might trade for another mustang that is already road ready.
I ADDED PICS TO MY MEMBER PHOTO ALBUM

Congrats on your find! The 82GT has always been my favorite 4 eye. I would really like to see pics of yours. If you wouldn't mind emailing them to me, that would be great. mustang4life1985 at yahoo dot com

hi there, if it was running before it was parked, then it shouldn't take much to get it on the road agian. also early fox body's are fairly simple to work on. i would try to fix it, but thats just me. i would get the car running first, and then see if the clutch is working or not. if running good, but clutch not working correctly, then replace that clutch, and drive it. installing a clutch isn't that hard, and would be a good place to start learning how to work on cars.

or, find a buddy that works on cars you trust, and talk him into helping you out.

anyways, good luck. also would like to see pics, but i'll wait until you can upload some.

gotta love the 82's, they're just the sickest looking 4 eyes.

when that trans comes down, ditch it for a modern t5 5 speed, it's a simple swap.

down the line, you may want to consider swapping in an 85+ 5.0 roller motor, gobs more power, and a better engine to build on.

Welcome to FEP.....I wouldn't trade the 82, just not enough of the 82s around to do so.

Welcome. You have picked up one of the nicest styled 4 eyed mustangs out there. Well worth the effort to fix up. The two piece nose really looks great on these cars.
