I apologize for my lack of posts here lately, but I've been very busy with the on going battle with my Capri. About a year ago, I started a thread asking some questions about wiring issues. As always, this forum has been wonderful in helping get my Capri back on the road. However, the trouble that I was running into was that one of the prior owners decided to modify the existing harness to suit their own needs, and failed quite misreably. I pulled the guage panel, and there were wires running everywhere, and all in the same color. After hours of debate, the decision was made to revert back to stock, since this is what the car was designed to use. The search began for a new wiring harness. After what seemed like weeks of searching, I found one on e-bay, and only paid $20 for it. Today my friend and I spent about 4 hours pulling the old harness out, to find several burned wires, countless splices, and misc other suprises. Fenders, doors, hood, nose and hatch have all been removed in prep for paint. Pics will be posted here for everyone to see, and I'm sure that everyone is stoked about my Capri as I am.
