MIDWEST FALL MEET - SEPT 27TH!!

Mike and I were thinking late september this time since a few people had conflicts with the original date planned.

Last weekend is the 27/28th. Any takes on covering his yard with foxes?

OK Kids, we are doing it again. In an effort to standardize our annual get together dates as well as avoid the heat, Hooptie came up with the idea to do a spring meet and fall meet rather than a single meet in the middle of the summer. Hopefully this will allow people to plan ahead. For our spring meet, we will do like we have been doing and burn Burgers & Brauts, etc. For the fall meet we will be doing a Chili cookout to mix things up. The fall meet will be on the last Saturday of September and the spring meet is tentatively set for the last Saturday in May.

With that being said, Hooptie and I will be co-hosting our first fall get together on Saturday September 27th, 2008. The venue will be the same as last time, my place in Kansas City, KS which is easily accessed from I-70 just a couple miles east of the Kansas Speedway. My wife has graciously offered to cook up a batch of her chili and rather than having people bring food as in the past, we will supply the food and only ask that everybody pitch in a couple bucks to help cover the cost. We will have a very limited supply of beverages on hand so please bring your beverage(S) of choice. Please reply here if you plan to attend so that we can get an approximate head count and nobody goes hungry.:pimp:

Not gonna happen for me. We are going to New Jersey to bring back a truck and then I know every weekend through the 25th of October is spoken for. Probably be a little deep into fall at that point. Don't let me stop anyone from putting something together without me though.

Sorry for the slow reply. I been so busy lately its stupid. As far as a later fall meet....nothing wrong with it but I don't see me being able to clear a weekend off my schedule. If you (hooptie) would like to put something together, just let me know when and where and I will see if we could make an appearance but not real likely. I'm bummed that we had to cancel the last one. A spring meet will definitely need to happen and hopefully everyone will have time to plan for it. So nobody go and plan to get married or have a baby or anything weird that weekend. And birthdays....well I figure the kid will be still be the same age the following weekend so schedule as needed :mrgreen:

As it turns out, this last fall meet wasn't a total bust. I guess I take for granted that everyone watches the thread for updates but apparently not so much. I take the blame because when I didn't see him reply, I did PM 86ezspin to let him know the event had been canceled but I waited till the last minute. Apparently he only checks his email at work and never got the message. So Jim showed up with a sexy ass 86 bubblebutt. Very cool dude. We chewed the fat for a while and I got to check out his ride and I got to show him our collection. Here is a pic of Jim's ride. He has owned it since 87 and claims it to be 100% original down to the paint. I think Jim has some explaining to do about the odd placement of the C A P R I hood lettering:pimp:
