taillights

I have a question, I'm new to playing around with aftermarket car parts (as I'm only 19) so I was hoping one of you guys with more experience could help me out. Mrbodykit.com has euro/carbon fiber tail lights for 87-93 fox mustangs. But I really like these tail lights and would love to see them on my 83. would there be any chance of getting them to fit and look right on my 83? or am I out of luck. I mean I've seen people put newer whole front clips on there 83's to make them look newer (which I would NEVER do, I love the four eyes) so it wouldn't seem that far off to think that they could possibly fit right? please help me out.

83-93 tailights are interchangeable. That being said Keep the original tailights on there. They are part of the four eye's character.

Yes they would fit, BUT would take away the unique 'foureye' look. That being said, it's your car, so do what YOU want with it & have fun.

ouch! lol I wouldn't want my american muscle looking like a ricer! guess it was just a thought. the original tail lights don't look bad I guess, I have to worry about getting the body back in shape and replacing the worn out yellow paint first anyways. I was just browsing through stuff to make her stand out, but looks like euro taillights would be poorly recieved with other fox fans, might get something thrown at me next dream cruise. thanks for the input.

if you want to replace your taillights, go with 87-93 LX tail lights. they fit right in and (some people think) they look better.

you can also paint the strip in between the lenses the color of your car, some people have done that and it sets off the stock taillights pretty well.

Though we all like to put our personal mark on our cars, you might want to give this idea some more thought.

Needless to say, the bottom line is that it's your car and you have the final say on what you do to it.

As you continue to read posts, you'll see several about people that we see buying a foureye and putting aero noses on them, and you'll find that we dont really agree with that idea either.

I've got a 1980 Cobra, and one of the tail lights has a quarter sized hole. Does anyone know where I can get replacements, or what other years I could use?
