? about door sills in Grey or Charcoal

In my 86 I believe I have charcoal int, I am missing the door sills. I found some on ebay but he's calling them a dark grey. He said they are from 79-86, how many greys or charcoal where there from 79-86. Was it a more then one shade of grey offered and then charcoal. Any info would be appreciated. thankyou Andel

Foxmustangrestoration.com has reproduction door sills in charcoal. I ordered a set for my 85 GT, and they look pretty good. You may want to give them a call.

Our library here on the FEP website has all the factory sales brochures from 1979-1986
including technical sections. Alittle research in that section will keep you busy but you will learn alot. I believe on the main page there is a direct link,just noticed that a couple days ago.Good luck!

84-86 grey is the same. 87+ greys varied and are not the same. Before 84 there was no grey.

Ask him what year the car came from. If he can't tell you, pass on them....unless you are planning on refinishing your plastics. I have refinished them and they have come out like new.

In 81 they had pewter, codes AP/DP/DPA/FP.

well yesterday at the Junk yard i found all the grey pieces I needed except 1 door sill now. To bad some moron broke the console delete shifter base as he took that off and ripped the brake handle cover.

Not a problem at all! I was surprised too. Pewter was a wild color, and looked really good with the pewter exterior paint combo. :D
