Couple questions that are both door related.

Question one:
I have got to put new door window guide bushings on the driver side. It appears I have to take quite a bit of the guts of the door apart to get them in. Any suugestions from anyone who has done this is much appreciated.

Question two:
How do you get the outer beltline weatherstrip off? I feel like I'm gonna bend the molding trying to get it off. Here is a shot of the pieces i'm talking about:

re the beltline molding / weatherstrip: there is a screw located underneath the exterior mirror, you need to remove that screw. Other than that it is just a press-fit deal. Sometimes if you pull towards the rear of the car it will slide off or at least break loose, but if not you need to carefully pry it upwards (I use a plastic trim tool, a screwdriver wrapped in electrical tape will work in a pinch) in several spots down the length of the door until you can safely remove it.

Thanks. Nice to know about the concealed screw.

i did this winter to my capri. the whole inside has to come out to change the 2 bushes in each side. make sure you put the 2 metal brackets the bushings go in the right spots or it doesnt line up. my windows work sweet after replacing these bushings

Thanks. That was what I figured, but hoped it would be simpler.

While I'm at it I want to take the side mirror off. How do you get the mirror control off the trim piece? I feel like I'm gonna break it prying and twisting on it.

Edit: I typed before I searched. I found the answer. Tiny allen screw. :)

Door bushings: Mine are in about the same shape yours are in, but I don't have the willingness to rip the door apart. So I just get some white grease and load the track up with it. When the window starts to shake as it goes down I'll repeat the process.

For those interested I shot a pic of the allen set screw location to help others in the future. It is hard to find if you don't know to look for it.
