How Big Is The Cowl ?

Hey, was wondering how big the cowl is on a 79 pace car hood ? JC Whitney sells the scoop alone and it's a 2.5" But it seems to me that a pace car has a smaller cowl than 2.5"

It looks like the cowl is 2". That is measuring at its tallest height, about 3/4 of the way from the front. It actually is only 1.5" tall at the back of the hood, measured from the metal part of the hood to the top of the scoop itself.
