The headlights on my 86 SVO are fogged through enough that I can't really see where I'm going in the dark. I tried to polish them but they have a brown mark (looks like burned plastic) through them.
Does anybody know where I can get NEW headlights and if the lights from 87-93 will fit the SVO?

You can still find repo headlights. Use one of the SVO vendors - Motion Dynamics, Forced4, SVPU. I wouldn't use a 87-93 when you still can get a new repo light that fits.
Passenger outside marker light - that's a different story.

E-bay has new ones, and the 87 ups will not fit.

Kendal - I know that there are a few NOS ones out there - but aren't most of them repo's with "original tooling"?

Try some home stuff like Brasso (metal polish) and even colgate tooth paste, (the white one), some plastic polish just start with the finest sandpaper you can find and jently rub off the surface crap then polish, even better if you get a plastic buffing wheel and use a drill to bring out the shine.

Polishing works sometimes but not always. The SVO's headlights are probably among the oldest flush mounted style lenses made. The plastic degrades throughout the entire lens and no matter how much you polish, they will likely remain cloudy and have unfixable cracking throughout.

I did try to polish them. The drivers side came out pretty good although not totally clear. The right one still looks milky with a brown streak down the middle. I don't think they can be salvaged.:(

If you can't find replacements, look in the restoration forum for the taillight restoration thread......lots of good info in it on polishing and fixing lenses.

That one is probably burnt from the inside. Fox Mustang restoration has them.

I did see them at Fox Mustang Restoration. When I am ready (over the winter) I will order them and window/door trim. Thanks!
