View Full Version : T-top car with subwoofer

I'm curious if there are any solutions out there for a t-top car with a sub or subs in the hatch area.

I did a lot of searching and found the one with the sub in the spare tire well. Great idea, but I personally do not want to ride around without a spare. I also know a bazooka would work, but I have an old school Punch 200DSM and Kicker C12a sub that I'd love to get in this thing. :)

I have an idea, but I want to see if there a better way to do it. So anybody else have any solutions that has a sub and still some way to store the t-tops?

Thanks in advance,
Tyler

BTW It is an 85 GT I'm working with.

Why a 12 just go with a 18. Just go 2 8's instead. I have heard 2 8's hit harder than a single 12

I'd like to use a 12 since I already have it. I actually have two of them but don't want to put both in the 'stang.

I have a single 8 in another vehicle and I think it sounds great. Two or three eights would be amazing.

I made a false floor with my box, i dont have T-Tops but i also wanted to still be able to throw my sunroof and my longboards akteboards back their so I have a box which holds 2 10"; 2 6"X8"; and my 1200 watt amp. It is laid out like a false floor, and then i made what look like roof racks that go over top the speakers and are padded to i can strap the sunroof to them or my skateboards.

Thanks much for the pic. That thing is big!!!! But looks like it served its purpose. Looks like it went above the rear seat hah?

That sounds interesting also. If you got a pic that'd be great.

When I get mine done I'll post up pics. I'll probably wait a couple months to do it 'cause it's so hot here now. The garage is miserable!!!

So in the meantime if there are any other ideas out there bring 'em on.

Until you made this post it went over my head that he meant the head rest. lol. I forgot they were called halos.

Don't worry about a pic as it doesn't help me much. Thanks for the thought though.
