Hey guys, we have an 85GT that when the lights come on, low beams work as they should. But when switched to high beams, the entire drivers side headlight function dies (no low or high beams). Looks like the wiring might have been redone due to a prior collision on that side.....any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

First thing i would look at is the ground wire for those lights.

Any clue where this ground is located?

I'll dig into my 86 and see what I can get found out for you, or you can stop out sometime and check it out as well! I have to take the headliner out for a question 86GTDriver has for me on my modded t-top brace, so I will look into it when I get to playing with the car!

Trace the black wire from the headlamp socket. It should have a small eyelet on the other end and be attached to the upper radiator support with a small screw.

His harness on the drivers side is pretty hacked and mangled, so we may have to go digging to find it (the electrical tape gremlins went nuts on that corner of the car)!
