Not sure if this is the right forum, please move if not, Thanks!

So, I pretty much have a verbal agreement with another member that I was going to buy his close to being mint black 82 GT, but like he said, nothing is written down yet. He's letting me have it for a very reasonable price(though I don't really know how our cars are priced nowadays).
But today, I met someone from a local forum that has an SVO, not quite sure what year, but I believe its an 85/86. It has a blown head gasket and has low compression on 2 cylinders. From what I believe, all is there, and he just hasn't got the time and enthusiasm to do the job( he's got 6 other stangs, btw). He's asking $1,500, but I'm almost sure that he's negotiable considering the status of the car( IIRC, he said it hasn't ran in 10 years).
I'm almost sure I'm going to take the GT over the SVO, since the latter is going to need some work. I will be trying to take a look at the SVO this week and see what is needed. What do you guys think?

Hands down. The 82 GT,the V8 sound is enough of a reason.

Looking at the cars curently in your signature, it looks like it's time for the SVO.....

You know, i had th same thought in my head all day long. And I've been craving for one too. We'll see I'm supposed to take a look at the SVO tomorrow and drive to Sacramento on saturday to see the 82. I just wish that the SVO was at least running than it wouldn't be an issue cuz I'll be able to move it around.

looks like the majority says it time for an SVO. I just hope it's actually as nice as it was on the picture I saw. And it's important that all the SVO specific stuff are intact. So excited!
