I currently have a Zephyr so I'm familiar with these cars. But I've had my eye on this Fairmont for a while but haven't had the chance to talk to the owner yet. But what I've heard is that it had a complete tune up and new brakes put on it. But all it supposedly needs is u-joints. I have no clue what year or engine. But I think it has the Futura package. I haven't seen this car move in six months. What should I offer?

heres a picture of it:

Especially since it's a 4 door. Not much demand fo 4 door cars.

Very true. 4drs aren't the most popular but do make good sleepers. Well I paid $200 for my Zephyr...but my dad got it from a lady at work, plus they wanted it gone. Anyways there is more stuff piled in it and it appers to have rolled back about six feet. As of when that picture was taken along with there is no plate on it.

I'd ask them what THEY want for it first. That way you don't possibly offend them if they have some kind of sentimental value in it and you come along offering chicken scratch for their dear old deceased Aunt Bertha's favorite car she bought new after saving for 15 years and begged the family they'd never sell when she passed away yada, yada you get the point. Plus, it'll give you a good idea if the deal is even worth the trouble if they want something way over the top for it...

It may still need a brake job if the rock (emergency brake) in front of the tire is any indication.

Still haven't had the chance to talk to them yet. But no this isn't some beloved car. The brief history is...that this guy my Dad knows got it as "gift" for doing some work to this some guys yard. Not sure what kind of work but enough to get a car out of it. I've also learned that the seats were going to be put into a late 60's Mustang, if that didnt happen his son would get it. But his son didn't get it so he sold it to the current owner who needed a car "bad", but seeing it doesn't has a plate or the lack of movement. I feel its un-needed and the purpose is a storage shed.
