NOS Weatherstripping

Any advice on purching NOS T-Top Weatherstripping?
Does age affect it over time even though it isn't installed and exposed to the elements? Does that stuff rot over time? Would it last as long as new repo. weatherstripping? I have read that the new repo. weatherstripping doesn't always fit as good as orgional (some is better that others). I now its over 20 years old.

That stuff is going to cost you big money...have you actually checked prices?

It depends on when the NOS parts were made. Ford made parts for these cars probably up until the mid 1990s or later depending if the part fit all the way till 1993. So a part for an 86 made in 1995 is probably not going to be all rotted.

However a part made for a 1979 in 1987 has a good chance of being gooey if not stored in a good spot for 10 years.
