What is up with my door panels???

My car is an 86, and I looked around quite a bit at different peoples interiors, door panels on ebay, etc, and don't see any with this "thing" in the middle that mine has. I think it's for the door locks? if it is the button or handle is missing on both doors, looks ugly, and I will switch panels. What year is this from?

that looks like it could be from a curtesy light and your missing the lense. could you get a close up of the inside and a pic of the whole panel.

Somebody did that to my car. The previous owner went fricken nuts on my doors. Big ass holes in the bottom for speakers and hacked out holes in the top for tweeters.

Not sure what it is but its NOT stock. Pull the door panel and see what its connected to, if anything.

Same with the ones in my vert (minus the tweeter). They put a hole in the cardboard then decided not to use that hole so duck(lol) taped the board back on then did another hole. Bad thing is my vert is an almost no option car (minus air) so now i have to redo my panels since its hard to find no p/w,p/l panels.

Thata a dumb place to put a tweeter. I have a couple better places to put speakers.

As far as looks go, it ain't the worst I have seen. Since they're there, you might want to replace the speaker so it looks good again...sometimes you can get cheapo speakers on ebay for like $10.

Or you can hunt for door panels. Good ones range in the $100 price area. Depends on your budget I guess.

The more I look at it, the more they irritate me. Guys parting cars are not too hard to find, and in this area, the local currency is pitbull puppies, so I should be able to score some decent ones i think.
