A propane torch and a scraper. (carefully for obvious reasons)

I am removing undercoating in my engine compartment and using a heat gun and rags to wipe it off. Working very well.

Thats what I used with rags, then went over it with a wire wheel on the drill.

I've been taking it off with thinner but its slow going there. I'll try a heat gun and see how that goes. Thanks

Heat gun, various scrapers and spatulas. Wire wheel for the really stubborn stuff.

Why? I thought the extra flames would help soften the old stuff.

It does. It will also help remove all your interior upholstery and the tires from your rims.

a coarse wire brush on a die grinder seems too work well wearlong sleeves and a face shield keep the rpms to about 2000 or less cause those wires hut when they caome off at 4000+rpm

After going through all of the work removing undercoating on your foureye, how many of you would have a new car you bought undercoated? ;)

Never. I actually think it hold moisture in and makes the rot worse.
