I just put the "cap" over my old cracked dash. Fitment and looks arent what I call show quality. but for a daily driver and someone who just wanted to cover up that old cracked dash like i did, it works good.
I bought mine from 50resto.com. As far as looks. some areas i can see are sorta wavy looking like the area around the defrost vents. but its not bad enough to be an eyesore IMO. Installation issues I had zero. I just used the glue that came with it. I took another member's advice. glued it on. inside the car. and stuffed towels between windshield and dashpad for pressure. Then I let the car set in the sun for a few hours.

Got mine from 50resto as well and just as the others above mentioned not bad, maintenance free and probably will last a lifetime. i myself didn't glue it down since it fit pretty snug without the glue

Same here, got mine from latemodel restoration (50 resto), took it out of the box, slid it on. Big improvement over cracked dash, fit it okay, and I didnt glue it down because it fits well. Good choice for my driver, but as was said, isnt show quality. I'm happy for what I paid.

I put mine in without glue for a few weeks and noticed that on the days when it was 70* it looked like it would bow up some. Thats when I deceided to go a head and just glue mine down.

Mine has been in the garage all winter. I've been waiting to get it in the sun to see if it would move. I have the glue that came with it, just waiting to get the car out of the garage (finally). Thamks for the heads up, I feared that.
I had a cap on my 88 TC too, on those you need to glue it down because of the shape, it was still a gret fit, and you had to point it out to most observers to even notce it.
