I have an 86 gt convertible with factory 10 hole wheels. I want to keep the 10 holes, so I am stuck with 15 wheels. I plan to lower the car about 1.5 in the front and .75 in back later on, but I wnt to know if a 255/ 60 tire will fit, and not rub anywhere, I have that quad shock stuff, and it looks close with the stock 225/60... I also plan to run a 235/60 in the front. Any suggestions on tires that fit well, fill the wheelwell, and improve handeling, while staying 15 inch, would be welcome

They will fit. I am running 26.5 inch tall tires on my convertible. Because of the bump in the convertible wheel well ( only on verts) for the top mechanism my tires rubbed( not on the sides, the center of the tread rubbed on the bump for the top mechanism that is in the forward center of the wheel well) . I bought a pair of airlift airbags for 59.00 and will be installing them to cure this. You simply need to flip the quad shocks around to gain the needed clearance there.

I'm running BFG 255/60/15's in the back and I have a very, very minor rubbing problem when the rear axle is leaning or cocked slightly. It is so minor that I've never bothered to check what is rubbing. I still have the quad shocks also. Now, I will say if your going to lower the car, I think your going to have problems. A 255/60 is a very tall tire. I'm guessing you may have problems lowering in the front with 235's too. If your going to lower your car I would go with 245's in the back and 225's in the front. I will be lowering my car someday and this is the setup I'm going with. By the way I am running 225's in the front now.

I hope this helps,
