I have rot on the lower part of both front fenders. Should I weld a section in or replace both fenders. One of the fenders has a Ford stamp on the top. The other has no stamping so I guess it has been replaced before. Will replacing the fenders hurt the value of the car (everything on the car is original). I was looking at fenders from CJPonyParts are they a good replacement?

unless it is an ultra rare low mileage car...don't worry about it

I would caution against using aftermarket replacements. Many vendors sell them but I'm convinced they are all stamped in the same factory somewhere in china. I have not had good luck with the fit of the aftermarket panels. Try to find used OEM replacements.

I think good used is always better than reproduction. Factory primers, plus the stamping quality is far superior to anything the aftermarket has to offer. Plus, if it has not rusted in 20 years you are probably safe with it for a lifetime if you take good care of it.
