GRRR... exhaust leak!

GRRRR!

Exhaust leek that can only be heard at 3K and up! It's irritating the hell out of me and the exhaust guys I take it to can't find it and obviously doesn't want to search for it anymore. He blamed the smaller cat that I had them put on ( Magnaflow cat... I brought in). Coarse, that doesn't make sense to me.

So NOW I have to find another shop... and spend more F-ing money of this!

I mean... it can't be the engine (right?). It's running great. Oil pressure is fine, temp is find, accelerates very well. No funny colors in the coolant or oil.

This partly a rant BTW... other part is help with ideas. :|

Ok, had a friend here at work whos a well known car builder look at it. After telling him it was a Magnaflo cat that was on it and the previous cat was a CatCo... he said THAT'S why it sounds different. The Magnaflo is a better free-er flowing Cat. That Sound, one I've never heard before on that car, is a good sound. :lol:

I didn't know that either. I have used highflow cats before and never really heard an exhaust leak sound.

Well, my co-worker friend here said it was more of a "crackle." Now, that LTD LX has had a crackle sound before. But not like the way it is now! Thats why I was freaked over it.
