well i found out what the ticking and idling problem was i was low on oil needed to add 3 Q's of oil Yikes :eek:

Or AT LEAST one should know whether he is holding the dipstick or he is indeed the dipstick!

we have a mid 80's chevy 1 ton pickup with an aftermarket dump bed, it has a pos poor running 350 that burns oil like crazy...lets say we put at max 500 miles since the oil was last checked and it burnt through 4-4.5 quarts! that thing is on it's last leg
