What kind of hp gains can be expected for a 302 going from a stock say 79head to gt head. Stock for stock with no porting etc. I have an 83 which I plan to put a set of 96 explorer gt heads on.

Depends on other mods. Most gt40 head swaps net somewhere to 30-30hp. Like i say depends on the overall setup.

about 25, 35 to 40 if you do the intake and t/b as well. If you are staying carbed, figure about 25-30.

I just got my set of 96 explorer gt heads today and they came with factory rockers.Are these 1.6 or 1.7 from factory?
