Is anyone running these heads on a stock bottom end 5.0. I just traded for a set of new Windsor Sr. Heads they are 64CC with 2.02 & 1.60 valves. I would think they would be over kill for a stock 5.0. The 64 CC with a 9 to 1 motor just wondering if anyone had tried it. Thanks for the help!

Yeah, those are a little large for a stock 5.0.

200 cc intake ports and the big chambers that might lower your compression ratio.

I use to run the iron world jr's with my old engine. I could make more power than most people with similar setup and larger cfm heads.

I run the World Jr's on my 85 Capri 5.0 with Crane energizer RR and Edelbrock intake. Built for a fun drive :)

I'd have to say that sr's are prolly better suited for a Windsor, but hey, if ya got em run em

You will probably have to cut the valve reliefs for the 2.02 intake valve. The depth will probably be ok depending on the cam you run. It is the radial clearance that usually needs to be adjusted accordingly. It usually hits the corner of the valve relief pocket in the piston.

How much could these be milled i wonder? I would like to try them due to they can always be ported later when i bulid a stroker or something. More room to grow compared to the jr's

I used to have a set of the World Roush 200's which I believe are pretty much identical to the Windsor Sr heads. They were on a 308 and I would say it was a pretty terrible match. The chamber size kills compression and the ports are just way too big for a small motor. It had no bottom end and the power band was very narrow because they would start to make power at the same time the bottom end was on the verge of taking leave. If not for the 4:10 gears, it would have been a complete stone. I now have a set of Windsor Jr's on a very similar 306 and it runs much better. I would say that unless you are planning on a stroker or 351 based motor, the Windsor Jr's would be a good trade.....but thats just me.:pimp:
