from Matt (mb84gt), a board member here. He contacted me a few months ago and let me know he was considering selling. I basically told him I would take the car, but had no way to work a deal until a few weeks ago. He was generous enough to hold it for me all of this time. He posted in another thread that he had sold it and missed it, and just want everyone to know it went to a good home! It's living lavishly under a car cover in the garage! This is one of the only foxes I've ever come across that looked even better in person than it did in pictures, to say the car is stunning is an understatement. I don't have any new pictures yet, but in case anyone doesn't know the car in question here are some pictures Matt took.

And I never really posted about this car, but this is the '85 Predator I picked up around a month ago. It's an '85 GT302. Car number 12, it was ordered with just about every performance option you could get on one at the time (BBK headers, B303 cam, Intake, underdrive pullies, gears) and was special ordered (from Tom Solomon, not ford) with the SVO seats. The wheels are the original wheels for the car, factory roll bar is still there, as well as all of the other Predator specific parts. Some pictures with my Cobra:

So now I just need to find the rest of the specialty 4-eye mustangs from '85/6. Saleen, Steeda, Twister II and a Sidewinder if I'm not missing any.

By the way, if anyone is looking at buying parts or cars from Matt in the future I highly recommend him, he's a great person to deal with. Couldn't have been happier with the whole deal!

Nice! Thank the almighty I've never seen either type in the wrecking yards here in Southern Cal. Those cars look really good.

Those are really nice rides. You Black and Green Cobras are still my favorite cars of yours though.

That dominator is one of the nicest 86s I've seen and I am not a huge fan of that color red. Awesome, keep it nice and safe.

Ya Matt is a good ****. Just not as bright as I thought he was:mrgreen:

I'm glad the car went to a good home though and to somebody that obviuusly appreciates it for its originality. And I agree that unless you have seen that car in person, its hard to understand how nice it really is. Probably one of the two cleanest Fox bodies I have ever seen in person, and Matt owns the other one as well.:pimp:

He USED to. You've never been under the Capri I bought from him.

I saw that car last summer in Person and it was AWESOME! Brought back a lot memories of my 85. Awesome collection.. Thought I was the only who had ever owned both a Dominator and a Predator... Wish I still had both! The wheels on yours are odd.. Look nothing at all like mine.. I can send you a pic of what mine looked like. Have a picture of a car that I saw a few years back that looks just like mine did.

Thanks for the compliments! Great looking Predator, BTW! I've seen a handful of Predators with the Enkei wheels that my car has. The 8 spokes that your car has were also very popular in '85, do you remember if yours were 14" or 15"? Most cars had the 14"s, but a few made it out the door with 15" versions (of the 8 spoke wheels) and those are pretty rare. Looks like yours was a GT302H as well, very cool. If you've got any other pictures i'd love to see them!

I am guessing they were 14" on mine. They seemed a little small on the car. I did not have to replace the tires during the short time I owned it so I could not say for sure. That picture I found on the net. It was not mine. It just closely resembles what mine looked like.

My 85 Dominator that I had. I do have a picture of.

Very nice, I've been talking to another board member here about the Dominators and he's mentioned your car a few times. You need to track it down!

I talked to the original owner for a bit last night. He purchased the car new, and didn't have any paperwork on the Dominator package but told me it was $1475 if he remembered correctly. He said for this amount you got the hooker super comp headers, 140mph speedo, and a different ford computer chip. I'm curious if anyone knows if Ford was doing something like that in '86. The original owner was very sure about that fact, but it does make me curious. And I guess because of the earlier EPA problems Summit Ford had, you had to purchase the car first and then pay for the Dominator package separately.

I'd also be curious to know how this compared to the cost of the package on an '85, which received quite a few more modifications than the '86 did. I wonder if the '85 Dominator package was more expensive?
