I have found a nice set of rust free doors....
They have the mirror on the door and I like it.
If I take the glass and regulators out of my t-top doors and put in these is there any issue?

Well your 84 door panels wont fit. The inside sheetmetal is totally different.

I have used non vert doors from both a 91 and a 89 on two diiferent 86 hatch cars and the interior panels both fit fine. A couple holes to drill but realy pretty easy install.

Upper door belt trim (exterior) won't match the rest of the car. If you take that trim off there are holes in the top of the door.

From what i've been told the weatherstrip rail going up the windshield pillar is different, due to no mirror on the door....you'll need to pull those off of a newer convert or t-top to get the windows to fit right against the weatherstripping.

ok time to wake the sleeping giant.....
Ok I get the car back friday from the body shop.... the inside of the doors are totaly different and I can't figure out how to get my manual regulators to bolt up?
Do I need to find a set of manual window regulators from a aero nose?

As far as I have run into, the regulator arm is the same, but the bolt pattern on the base is different (sorry, just saw this thread or I would have answered earlier). You will probably need to get the regulator from an aero (I just did one on my 83 vert; took a regulator from an 86 and bolted it into the 83 door.....works well).

I will be doing this swap, but my doors are all power so I can't help you there. I'm curious as to how the weatherstrip fits.

You will need to use weatherstrip from a mid 88 or later convertible. The regulators and windows from your old doors must be swapped in to match the car. The upper belt trim (or outer belt molding) will have a 1/8 inch hole for a rivet to hold the retainers that originally held the trim in place. They can be replaced with the convertible outer belt moldings (hard to find if you dont have them) from an earlier car. They were often on the LX bright trim cars from 79-86 too. You will have to drill the hole larger, install a barrel nut and then the clips to hold the trim in place. OR weld the holes shut - probably cheaper in the long run. The interior can be retrofitted to match with the green clips that hold the armrests in place and interior dew wipes from a 89-93 convertible to run the chrome the whole way across the door panel if you are going to be that picky about things.

I'm creative so this will be something I document.... so someone else doesn't have to guess or look for an answer other than what I post

COOL. If you run into any snags give us a call. I have a T-top car in the shop and we have every piece of Mustang weatherstripping known to man.

I put 88 GT doors on my 83 Capri. The 88 was a hard top. I cut the frames off the top of the doors and swapped all the hardware minus the front inner run channel. You must use the later one because of the door speaker location. I also had to drill one hole for the 83 door panel retainers. The outer dew wipe trim has rivets that I welded up before paint. With the door panels on it's hard to tell the doors are from a 88 GT. With a little effort it will look good.

The way he did it is probably easier in the long run. Especially considering the T-top never came with a door skin mounted mirror.
