The only time i've heard of "projectors" is in the ricer world. What is the deal with these? They caught my eye cause i like that they are dark colored but then i opened the ad and almost threw up. Opinions?

He made them his self, he's on here. I dont see anything wrong with those ebay ones. Atleast they dont have the halo on them or the lil led bulb inserted for a strobe effect or whatever.

i use sylvania silverstars for my Lo beams and really like them, it's a big difference over stock but now my high beams only run for a couple minutes then shut off.. i can run the Lo beams all day. I think the high beams with the silverstars are overheating the switch, so i dont use em. Those with my foglights light up the road plenty

I don't know, I like the classic, regular 4 eye look.

They are Hella 90 mm modular headlamps.
Here is a link to where you can get them: http://www.rallylights.com/hella/90mm_modules.asp
Sometimes you can find 'em on e-bay search for Hella headlights.

Hey bro. I thought about those (well, except the halo)but they are only h4's right? How did you wire up the high beam? H4's have a high and Low. Hella has a 165mm setup with h1 highs and h4 lows but they are pricey. I thought about doing a HID conversion on a set too. They would be schweet!

The only 'real' HID setup is like what Chris Wood did on his car. Any other "HID conversion" that simply used HID bulbs in a sealed beam conversion housing that is supposed to use H1 or H4 bulbs is garbage.

This may be crazy but I wonder if a person could make their own? What got me thinking was the headlights from the 04 Mach 1 I have. I thought about modifying the housing and custom fit it into my car (82) but I realized it would no longer be a four eye which is not an option for me. Then this morning I was getting into my 02 Impala and it has headlights that are separated and could probably be made to work as two separate lights thus keeping the four eyed look. The problem is what to use as a lens. I could use the projectors from the Impala but the lens (cover) I am not sure about.

The website posted...I didn't understand if those were round sealed beam lights, or just projector bulbs. What about those halos from Ny mustang guy? Where are those from? I would like to use the existing wiring from the 04 Mach 1 so what bulb would mate to that harness? Hmmm so many questions!

The ebay link was to projector headlights not sealed beam. just like the projectors bmws have

And for $21 I can guarantee you they're complete and utter garbage. Look at the bulb itself...H1/H4.

no doubt about that. I don't even like the way they look i just have never known what "projectors" were. When i was building my home theater and mentioning to my, apparently ricer, friends they would always say. "Your getting headlights for your car"

So...is there a solution? Even expensive solutions that look right? Meaning it keeps the four eye look but upgrades the lighting? I have done a little googling but I havent found much.

Jax Rhapsody

Yeah, there probably all plastic and the heat from the bulb would probably make the black turn gold. But they look good. Its nothing but a bulb focuses through a fish-eye lense(using photography terms) to spread it out more.

In my opinion--and you know what is to be said of opinions--the relay upgrade in combination with some good quality headlights is currently the cheapest and easiest way to improve on the poor lighting that our car a plagued with; that is and maintain the factory look.

Hey has anyone seen the capri on you tube the has four round headlights. The capri is white the grille black and the bezel around the the round lights is black. The lights are a little bigger than the round ones that in this thread. It looks really good I think wish I knew where the guy found them. It reminds me of the headlights from a mid to late 80's BMW. I'll try and find the video some time today. If I can figure out how to post a link I will.

I found the video it is titled "Capri GT". If you go to you tube and search with that title you'll see the headlights I'm talking about. The car is a 86 Capri RS wih 85 86 Gt side molding. If anyone knows where to get thoe headlights let me know?

Chris Wood

Looks like they are actually BMW headlights, adapted to fit the Capri.

I looked at some on ebay a while back that had glass lenses and were halo inside...from a glance i think they'd look almost stock, at least they weren't black inside. Even with 100w headlight bulbs modified to fit inside my Marchal fog lights my driving light sucks and i've got new Sylvania lights and a 3G/Optima Yellow top.

I might not even use projectors. Between projectors, parabolic and freeform which one makes a god hi or lo beam. Or is there really no appearing difference in there light output
