I have question on dash pad fitment for our cars. Will a dash pad from a Fairmont fit my '86 coupe? I'm thinking yes but I'd like to get some expert opinions. Thanks!!

yeah it should fit but it doesn't have the "hump" in front.

Don't take my word as gospel, but I understand there are minor differences in some other Fox pads vs Stang pads, such as the driver side hump (for lack of a better word) that other pads don't have.
Plus, there are differences in years on Stang pads like screw hole locations, etc, from (again don't quote me) 79-82 vs 83-86 . Minor stuff that can be overcome from what I've read, but differences nonetheless.
Edit/Update: Or yeah, what the guys said below.

The center mount over the steering wheel may not line up.
And as was said, the missing hump over the gauge cluster is not correct.

I have a fairmont pad in mine. It was too nice to not use it I know it has no hump

I believe the '84 and up Mustangs have the relocated screw hole in the dash pad for the dash bezel. Kind of a bummer since I like the look of the Fairmont dash pad better and my '84's trashed.
