I went to a drive-in car show with my cousin and his GTO club. They let us in early in the morning and opened the snack bar for hot dogs and hamburgers at lunch. They had the car show during the afternoon and gave out trophies just before dark.

The movie was Men in Black and it had only been out since the night before as the show was on Saturday. Most of the people who only came as spectators stayed and watched the movie. It was a lot of fun.

My cousin had a 71 GTO in copper metallic with an off-white / cream cloth interior, auto, AC, AM / FM stereo and console mounted 8 track tape player.

That sounds like a great idea! I believe there's a Drive-In in Milford, Mass and there's another one way down the Cape. Those are the only two that I know of. Pencil me and my wife in.

The last time I went to the Drive-In was in 1986, when I saw Top Gun.

Its right on Rt 16. in Mendon

Correct Pete, exit 19 off 495 in Milford, which is Rt 109
then it turns left onto RT 16 and its straight all the way.

The rain date is a very good idea and I'll leave that night open as well. So, the 6th for the actual date and the 13th if it's raining on the 6th.

Chris, I'll meet you and cruise up with you if you'd like. If you're working until 5:00, I'm sure that'll be o.k. and you should have time to drive up there before the movie starts. I would imagine that it'll start at 7:00 or later but I won't know until Jeff finds out the start time.

I don't feel old but I guess I AM old. LOL! I used to go to the Drive-In's a lot when I was younger. Of course, I wasn't old enough to drive back then so I had to sit in the back seat.

Believe it or not, I remember seeing American Graffitti back in the Drive In when I was 5 or 6 years old. We saw it at the Drive In on Route 1 in Dedham, Mass (it's now gone). Some of my other highlights were seeing Friday The 13th (the original), Escape From Alcatrazz, Mad Max, European Vacation and Top Gun. European Vacation I saw with my ex-girlfriend and was the only time I ever went "parking" at the Drive-In.

to find out when we can enter the gate. It doesn't mean we can't meet a little earlier somewhere else if the don't open as soon as we like.

We open the gates at 6:30 P.M. on Friday and Saturday nights. If there is going to be a large group of you then maybe we could open earlier if you need us to. Please let us know what you would like to do, business typically slows down considerably after Labor Day, so you will not need to worry about large crowds.

Ditto, met some of the New England FEP members at past shows, but it will be nice to meet new ones as well. To answer your question, I probably won't drive any of the Mustangs. We'll drive the wife's 4d sedan. She basically hates my fleet of cars and her's gets 30+ MPG....
