**BACK FOR SALE BABY ON THE WAY....MUST SEE TO APPRECIATE ...EDITED THE ORIGINAL AD NOT MUCH HAS CAHNGED 7/15/08**

Well, I bought the car from a member on here about 3-4 months ago....love the car no problems with it at all...Im having a baby! Must go! I have driven it 2000 miles if that since I bought it...Just sits in the garage...and its lonely haha...Only driven on sunny days since Ive owned it and garage kept!
Im in 12540 zip New York...

this ad is basically cut and pasted from the previous owner with a couple additions and edits....

85 GT is very clean and is fine the way it is but could be mint if finished by the next owner. The car has very very little rust for a north east car...the bottoms of the doors have surface in the inside of the door( not bad at all I have por15 for it that the new owner can have), and around the windshield a little bit that was touched up...there is NO ROT anywhere, the floors, torqueboxes and body pinch are mint. The car could be a daily driver it runs and drives great and has been reliable for me but I drive it when its nice only. The car is a original 5.0 5 speed car from PA It also has a 8.8 in it allready with 3.73's which works great and makes no abnormal noises. Here is a run about the car:

True mileage is unknown, carfax history is clean...It does have the original engine which is totally stock aside for frpp 1.6 RR's and it still runs very strong the odo says something like 50,XXX i think, but its a 140mph unit. Making any kind of asumption if they "matched" the mileage on the 140 unit i would say the car has 150,XXX miles.(to be safe and honest...but who knows the real mileage but its def atleast 100k?!?)

-Earlier FOX body hood scoop installed and functional
-NEW IN BOX NOT INSTALLED YET...ford racing rear drum shoes and steal braided brake lines for the rear and front

Body wise the car is in great shape (beside the little rust spots behind the doors and such....To look really sharp It could use a fresh paint job! (the paint shines up just looks old and is cracking in spots) The car also has a 92 gt rear spoiler now with brakelight and LX tail lights the paint isnt a perfect match...will get updated pics soon!!!
The car also needs some Choke work(found out its not wired at all durrr)...you just gotta pump the gas to get it started and hold the rpms for a few seconds ...no biggie never bothered me!
Car runs real strong it isnt the fast fox out there but its decent!
ASKING $$4600 OBO please save the low balls to youself...

Wondering if you could take some pictures in the sun with the sun hitting it broadside.. NO - I am not trying to be a wise-ass, but I know what the shade does or the shady side with the sun behind it on the other does to a dark color (makes it look great).... I realize you did say it may need to be repainted though to look perfect....

EDIT: Also wanted to say I have bought cars from ebay that I have also asked a person to take a sun broadsided pic. I realize it may show swirl marks, fade, oxidation, etc. and I still bought it. Just was thinking that people like myself would like to see what is really happening in the sun.... Again - not trying to be a wise ass....

Thanks,
Jason

Crazy question. do you have any of the parts to return it to the stock 85 style (quarter windows, trim, etc, and 4 lug parts)? Also, any pics of the rust spots you did mention?

JohnnyGT
07-18-2008, 07:04 PM
no but I will this weekend!...its not perfect but gets compliments where ever I go (well usually ;) ) but a nice fresh coat of paint and it would be close to a show car

Your car is definitely beautiful, but don't mention a fresh coat of paint.

If done correctly - stripping, removing molding, taping, priming, etc. could cost an EASY $3,000.... -- for a pro job

If I did not have my 90 right now, I would be taking that off your hands right now! The 85 GT is my favorite fox!!! I just do not have the room for the car. I have the money for it too! With two trucks and two cars, it is not going to happen. When I do sell mine the next Mustang will be a 94 or newer unless it is a 85 GT.
