Unfortunately the "Munchkin" as she has been dubbed must go. As much as I would like to keep her the realist in me knows we won't be getting to her soon.... She needs a good home. She's a great platform for restoring to stock or for a build up.

As stated in the title she is a 4 cylinder 4 speed standard. It's drivable and has passed MA inspection. She is blue with blue interior. The interior(seats) is in very good condition and just needs a good thorough cleaning. There are no rips or tears in the cloth. No consol (so no need to do consol delete). The dash could use replacing and the trunk deck isn't so hot either. But for the most part she's solid. There is some rust on the body. (pictures can be provided upon request)

Vehicle is located in Buzzards Bay MA. I am asking what I put in to it, $625/obo. If you would like to arrange a time to come look at her please feel free to call me at 508-714-9395.

Yep, unfortunately it is so. There's been some things that have come up recently. Dog went to hospital for a week and that makes for a tight budget. I want to be selfish and keep the Munchkin but I don't want her to sit and rot until I have money/time to work on her...

Sorry to hear that you have to sell her:(.

I know that you'll find another someday. At least there is still a 4 eye in the family:).

i saw your thread of when you first got it, your car is exactly what im looking for, I post on stangnet and corral alot and i was telling those guys how i wish i could find an 86 nothc, because its a four eye and has the old muslcecar feel interior. I want/need a good 4 cylinder daily driver because my ram only gets 11 mpg if im lucky. lol. I would love to see more pics of the engine bay and interior if you had em. And are there any mustang parts you may be looking for. I have 4 stangs right now, one is gettin parted out or sold as a shell, and my 88 lx is being bought from me by my best friend. I have my 88 gt and my 87 gt t top that i just bought and in the middle of fixing. So i have lots of stuff, but if your looking for stricly cash, thats okay too. please let me know thanks.the visions for this car are running through my head lol

black87ttop:

In response to your post, I am looking to deal strictly cash.

Unfortunately as of this moment we don't have any pics of the engine bay. If the sun decides to come out again I may take some more pics.. But for right now the ones that my husband sent you this morning are what I have.

I'm not sure where you're located but if you want we can arrange for you to look at her if you're interested.

Thanks!

I appreciate the pictures i got them this morning after i posted that last reply. Do you know of any problems with the car that would have to be fixed right away? Im looking to daily drive this for a better mpg car. my truck sucks:mad:.
Im guessing its somewhat good to go since you said it passed inspection and such. How does it run for the most part?Any major oil leaks, im not worried about drips and such, thanks for gettin back to me. Oh yeah im located in PA, so im trying to see all that i can and get as much info over the net and such since your about 5 hours away from me, I only want to make one trip, kno what i mean.:)

I hear ya! She doesn't have any leaks as far as I know, I've never seen any puddles under her. I think I forgot to mention also that she does not come with AC either. I don't know if that's important to you at all. The only things that I would definitely change right away is a new battery and probably tires. We oops'd one night and left the dome light on thus the battery issue. And the tires are just natural wear.

She is sort of an odd duck in the fact that she is a carbed car even though she's an '86, we think she was made earlier in the model year thus the carb. But she runs good. At most a couple pumps on the gas pedal and she fires up like a little champ.

Feel free to ask as many questions as you want. I will try my best to answer! I'll also be trying to get some more pics soon, the sun looks like it's trying to make an appearance here.. lol

Okay great, a/c isnt a big concern for me. Neither is the carb'd engine. 2.3 motors are a dime a dozen im sure if i really wanted to i could convert it to a fuel injected setup. I just love the dash, and the old feeling, when i was a kid my mom had 2 83 gt's and i guess it brings back memories. Even tho its a 2,3 my stroked 87 will fill that void.lol So did the 4 bangers have the little lite up car with the led lites that told you if you had low fuel and stuff. Or was that strictly a gt thing, i know you said it has no console but i would like to know if i got the cosole with that screen thing if i could hook it up. How does the trans feel, no grinding, just sloppy like you mentioned? would you trust it on a long drive or not? I will prolly trailer it if all goes well anyway, just curious

I believe that you can put that consol screen thing in. It's probably just a matter of splicing wiring to make it work right or using a different harness. Not sure, I'm sure that one of the guys around here would be able to tell us.

I'd trust it for long drives, we've taken it on some decent drives for a few hours. I would suggest making the fixes that we talked about earlier (tires, battery) but other than that she's definitely drivable for long hauls.

As to the tranny, everything's very good except that little bit of a sloppy feeling. Otherwise it's really good, no grinding or whining or anything like that.

Wow great. No problem on the wheels and battery part, i will probably throw a set of ponies or whatever i have laying around on it. Hell i may even hit the j/y and do a quick 5 lug swap and throw some take off wheels on her.
I appeciate all the answers and pics, just got to work on gettin a time to get up there now,

Oh man, If I could have my way I would be there tonight to pick that thing up. Unfortunatly, I would probably be girlfriendless as well. :( Too many projects going on.

Good luck with the sale, from what I have seen from the street (I live off of head of the bay rd and pass by your house daily) it looks like a nice reliable DD.

Awww sorry to hear you have to sell

Please e-mail me pics. I possibly could get divorced over this but I've always wanted a coupe. The way I look at it I have a different vehicles to sleep in when I get thrown out so it won't be boring

That car would have been sold a long time ago if it was anywhere near me :-) It's not worth it to me to ship it by anymeans but I would have drove a little ways for it.
