Pace car hood scoop?

Will a 79 pace car hood scoop fit on a 85-86 hood? Thanks.

I think so but don't quote me on it. It's not much different if any to the 82 scoops, right?

Isn't the hood relief larger on 83+ ? i don't think it'll fit great ... plus the front of the scoop might not fit the curve of the front of the hood.

The 83 ti 86 hood is longer @ the leading edge , so altho the scoop will physically fit the rest of the hood , the front won't match .

Yeah the front was what I was wondering about. Seems the 84 and under have a squared off hood in the front.

no, 83 and 84 have the same exact hood as 85 and 86.

That's not quite what he was asking. He was asking if a 79 scoop, which has a different hood than a 86, will work. What Ash is saying is the 83 to 86 hood is longer @ the leading edge than the 79, so although the scoop will physically fit the rest of the hood , the front won't match. What I said was I thought the 79 scoop was the same or very simular to the 82 scoop, which I know will fit on the 85-86 hoods but I wasn't very sure on the 79's cause I haven't had much experience with them.

Pace Car scoop is rear facing ...

yeah i know, but its from a 79-82 hood and it all works all fine alright ok alright today
