Instant email notification

I have my notifications set for instant email alert whenever someone posts to a thread I have posted to. But is there anyway to get an instant notification when a new thread is started, one that I haven't posted to yet.

On another forum I am a member of you can do this. Whenever someone posts an ad in the classified section of that forum I get an instant notification.

Use thread tools and subscribe to it. Just make sure that you set it for instant email notification.

I don't just want to subscribe to a thread but the whole forum subsection ie classifieds, other 4 eye. etc
