Anyone going? I'm probably going to be there with my friend who has a blown 69 coupe. He raced last year, but I suspect we might just put our cars in the show this year. Neither of us have been to the track this year, and we don't want a repeat of last year. Last year I think we must have pushed his car at least 1/4 mile during the course of the day due to various fuel and electrical issues. He's made some pretty major tuning changes, and i've never had a successful pass in my basically stock 85. I think both of us would have a short day racing if we ran.

I'm out for this one. Next year I'll definitely take a ride up there, to check it out as I've never been up there.

Look 2 posts down. I should be there, provided my child care doesn't fall through. I'm probably going to race my basically stock 85. It will be interesting to see how long I stay in.

I'm out for this one. It'll be my first time missing it since I put my Mustang on the road. If money permits, I'll be heading up there on the 14th of October for a test 'n tune.

Paul and Jeff,

You guys have to bring your cars next year and race them! Even in stock form, you'll both have a blast. You'll then be hooked and you'll want to do it ALL THE TIME!

I got 3 runs in with my 85. 2 qualifying rounds, and I lost by 2 tenths in the first round of eliminations. My car ran pretty well I thought for a stock engine 85 (performer intake, shorty headers, exhaust and 3.55's) with 155k on it. My best run was 14.684 with a 2.396 60 foot, and a 94.79mph trap speed. It didn't hook at all. My best reaction time was a .449 too, i really need to wake up. On my first run a friend of mine who was watching wanted to call me and tell me to go, but he didn't know my cell number. I got a .941 on that run. But I had a blast. My buddy with the blown 69 was a bit frustrated through. He had bad luck all day, and didn't run any faster than last year. But at least the one time his car died this year they towed him back to his trailer. So I didn't have to push it.

Very cool!

Did any get some pics of you?

I don't think my other friend there with a camera got any pics of me. He was standing by the fence, and the concrete barriers kind of get in the way. I wasn't really doing burnouts anyhow. The car has regular BFG traction t/a's on it. I just spun them enough to dry them off and staged. I got a decent shot of the 69 doing a burnout. But I'm not set up to post pics on forums yet. I need to do that one of these days.

I made it up there for the first time this year. Ran a new best in the Capri. previous best was a 10.8 at 125. I advanced the cam 4* and tightened up the lash on the ex. rockers for this year and ran a 10.6 at 126. I only got in 3 runs. I was eliminated in the first round, my 10.6 to a 10.2. I was running in street shootout. Andy

Cool Andy! Welcome to the boards. Paul is a member here too. You'll like this place, as it's the best place on the internet that deals with the '79-'86 Mustangs and Capri's.

thanks guys. Pete, I was looking for you and Paul up there. You missed a great day. weather was excellent and the track was really hooking good. I was very surprised at how well the track handled tech and how fast they were getting cars down the track.
I am hoping to make it up next weekend also to run in the new fast street class. Andy

Ohh! You're very close. If you click onto the link, you'll get the picture. To actually have the picture show up without clicking onto the link, bring up the Photobucket account and look for "Properties" under each picture. If you left click your mouse while hovering over the properties, a little yellow box will show up that says "copied". Use this to paste in between the tags.

But with no space at the beginning or end of the tags

Or copy and paste the ones from Photobuck that have the IMG tags already....
