SMS Autofabrics, the same guys that have the pace car material. i just sent them a link to negusm's dealer fabric sample book and i received the samples of the red insert material and the black bolster material and both are identical to the original stuff in my car! $79 a yard!

Ya I even had them send me a sample based on my door tag but the colors are wrong, and looks like a poor ass repo. However the pattern itself seams to be right. I will take pics later and post...

This is good that a source was found.
I looked for 2 years and came across some left overs stuck in the back.
I just got lucky I found enough to do my seats
I was going through the Detroit Books to get an original part number and then do a serach.

Cool Good find because this is rare to find.

Yes, they do have the correct cloth for the black magic seats as well. Order just enough to do your seats though. As I am sure that the cloth is in limited supply and other BM owners will be wanting to purchase too. It costs close to $500.00 for enough cloth to do the front buckets and rear seat. Going to be my next big purchase in the next few weeks. Now that the CAT is literally out of the bag I hope there will be enough available when I'm ready to purchase.

Will do! SMS sent me samples about 6 months ago and they matched my current seats after allowing for wear of the golden glitterry stuff. According to SMS the rolls they have are from Mercury/Ford. I was wondering if FOMOCO used the BM cloth in any other vehicles.
I want pics of the the stuff you get man....

They used the pattern, but changed the colors, my seats are black/white, or they should be if they had been cared for...

They look ok in the pics but they are worn and very discolored in real life....

Schoolboy, Black Magic seats should not be black/white. They should be black/tan like in your picture.

Although looking at the closeup image of your seats...it doesn't look too close to the fabric swatch for some reason.

I know PonyDude's 83 bubble back BM has tan inserts. I saw that car in person.

I know mine are not BM seats based on the color, How ever the pattern I belive is the same. Thats why I was half bumbed when I found my buck tag and it only said "crs" and not "cat", I was hoping for a red BM.

I wonder if the centers faded to a lighter color? The outer areas would be solid vinyl and the inserts would be that woven fabric.

OK, then you do NOT have Black Magic Seats.

DA = Black Cloth and Vinyl Seating.

The cloth is a weave of light grey, medium grey and black. The seats you posted look like the cloth sections have faded. My guess is that the grey threads have lightened over the years.

Call SMS and have them send you a swatch for DA fabric (if they have it). I bet the weave will be the same and you'll see that the threads have faded. The grey probably turned tan. Remember the ACC light grey carpet? Some spots on mine faded to red, some to green and some to tan.
