Capri Convertible anyone?

I have a 86 GT project Ive been working on for years. I had considered using the SVO front end parts I have, but then really want to use the near perfect 86GT nose and foglights I have. Recently I bought a Capri parts car that had almost nothing left. BUT it did have the front bumper/fenders and a fair set of quarter panels. I recently removed the remaining parts that werent laiden with rust or dents. Ive considered using the RS bumper, fenders and fabbing up the flared quarters on my 86 convert. The RS had a nice Xenon body kit that I'd use along with it. But cant decide what a Capri RS full convertible would look like.. any suggestions?

all i'm gonna say is it's a shame they didn't make a capri vert (besides the mclaren of course)

yes the car would have the capri fenders as well as the rear flared quarters. I see no reason to frown, but then again, it's my car and I'll do with it whatever I feel looks good in my eyes, all four of them.

There were other Capri verts. Early in the Fox era, there were conversion companies doing both Mustangs (pre-83) and Capris. They come up from time to time, but no one ever seems to pick them up. Keep an eye out and you'll see them a few times a year.

cool, I haven't seen a capri conversion car yet. just the mustangs by tomaso and others.

the SVO parts are a hood/front bumper cover and lights that came off my totaled SVO

My dad said there was a company that did later capris into verts but i cant remember what it was (i thought he said there was an article in an old MM & FF about them). That would be awesome and like a few others have said ITS YOUR CAR not their car or the President of the United States car but YOUR CAR. Good luck
