No such animal as an '82 Cobra.
The Cobra II Package was '76-'78.
The King Cobra option was '78
The Cobra Package was '79-'81.
'The Canadian "Cobra GT" was '84-'92.

There was no "Cobra" in '82 in Canada.
The Canadian "Cobra GT" was '84-'92.

Guys, please read the full thread.
The Canadian Cobra GTs were NOT available until the 1984 model year.
GT does NOT always equal Cobra GT in Canada, not in 82, 83 or 93, during the Fox years.

I still think _yes_its_an_82_cobra needs to weigh in on this thread.

He can weigh in all he wants. You have a better chance finding a hen with teeth than you do an '82 Cobra.
I can point out other vehicles that don't exist that people use as their member names.

I knew someone who had a Cobra in '82.
Does that count?

That is too funny. I am positive those who seen an 82 cobra seen a factory sticker package on a regular 82 Mustang. Only makes sense since they aren't real.
Kinda like the ricers who put Vtec badges on their Nissans and Toyotas.

The 82 Cobra is almost as bad as that 82 Mustang SS on Ebay a few months ago.

i thought that they made canadian cobras for half of 82? And then midway through they changed it to GT, then in 84 they brought they name back with cobra gt?
Even if there is an 82 cobra though, its nothing more then a difference of stickers.

Were there any leftover '81 Cobras, still on the lot in '82?

Even if they were left over, the VINs wouldn't be changed to the '82 model year. They'd still be '81 models.
