Jeff,

I just called Joe Dinella (who's name is on the flyer) and inquired about Capri's (I've seen other Mercury's at this show in the past). He said that they don't allow them anymore due to space limitations and that the show has grown so much over the past few years, they had to make it a "Mustang Only" show to accomodate the Mustang participants.

No Capri's.:(

O.k guys. We need to plan for a cruise like last time. I'll be leaving my house again at 6:00 a.m. and will meet up with my brother and a couple of friends in Middleboro (Route 44/18 rotary at Friendly's) at 6:20-6:25 a.m. and can then meet the guys in Bellingham (Home Depot) at 7:00 a.m. From there, we can meet others along the way. Just let us know where you're coming from and we can schedule something.

Before reading this thread I talked to Fred this morning and he told me about no Capri's. That sucks.

Cool! We're taking Route 495 to the Mass Pike and then cruising that down to Route 84. I'm leaving at 6:00 a.m. and meeting up with some guys in Middleboro at 6:20-6:30 a.m. From there, we're going to meet up with Dime Store Pony in the Norton area around 6:40-6:45 a.m. timeframe and then up to Bellingham (Exit 18 off of Route 495) at 7:00 a.m. If you're near any of those destinations, just meet us. If not, let us know where you'll be. I estimate that we will be at the first rest area (after the 495/Pike interchange) on the Pike around 7:20 a.m. or so. PM me with your phone number and I'll add it to my list. That way I can call if we need to find a location on the fly.

It does suck for Jeff and especially Fred though. At least Jeff can bring the Anny.

First off, STOP forecasting the weather. You will make yourself sick ad nauseum trying to pick a forecast that works for you. Just remember, we live in New England. If you don't like the current weather, just wait a few minutes, it'll change!

That aside, I hear the weather will be decent. The show will be decent if you make it there. If you are not there, then those who do go miss out seeing all your great iron that should be there!

I would not get discouraged Jeff or any other Capri owner. The parking lot my friends is adjacent to the show field. Plenty of people walk up and down that area looking at rides that are not in the show. If you get there early enough, there are some choice spots in general parking that are near where they serve food and you can display your cars proudly. I say Bring the CAPRI's and REPRESENT! So what if you don't get judged and you save some $.

Just my 2 cents....Oh and count me in by the way. I will there with my 8 month old baby boy. Gotta start em young you know!

Then we'll meet up with you guys at Home Depot at 7:00 a.m (Exit 18 on Route 495). From there, we'll all cruise up to the Mass Pike and pull into the first rest area to meet up with Dave (Bad50) at about 7:25-7:30 a.m. He'll be in his nice '87. Then it'll be a nice ride down to Manchester.

Weather here on the Western Side of CT is a mess....raining like hell...That is going to keep people from our area as well as all the nice mustangs that come from NY away too. :(

The weather report states: it's less than a 20 mile width of rain moving south and west. (very weird weather direction) Our group was going to meet at 9am but it looks likely we will meet about an hour or so later and see what happens.

Jeff, Jeff, Jeff....what can you do....sorry man...:(

I just got back and it was a good show as far as awards go (Dave-dime_store_pony got 3rd place, Steve-Rafiki47 got 2nd place and I took 1st place) and meeting/hanging with the foureyedpride group. Good time guys! As for the participant turnout, it was well below expected capacity due to the weather. It's funny though, as the weather was perfect when we arrived (Sunny with wispy clouds).

We all cruised together with a few other cool cars and trucks. We had the following:

Man, I missed meeting you guys. I could not get there up there until 3:30. They were handing out trophies and you guy were not near your rides. I did get a chance to see the 79 cobra, 82 gt and 85 coupe. They are very nice rides. It was nice to see the new gt500 in person. I would love to have one but I don't have 50k lying around. I also tried to pick up a carpet for the capri but they were out of stock. Well, I did take a couple of pics with the cobra and the 82gt. Maybe you guys saw me walking around...lol.

It was definitely a great time today and I'm glad the weather turned out good. It was good meeting with Bad5oh, Wilson, Dime Story Pony, JTurbo, Dynamic and the guys with the Cobras. Great day today everyone. The ride was great and it was great meeting some new faces Paul - Mustangs4life and Steve - Rafiki47 and nice seeing Wilson, Dime, and Pete again. Big red Ford truck I don't think we met but next time. I'll get some pics up soon. Was pretty exciting to finally take my 87 on decent road trip and now its time to take her to the track. Oh yeah

The weather actually cooperated - I couldn't beleive it! The afternoon went by so fast and I had to leave early so I didn't get a chance to take any pics (except the ones below). Congrats to the trophy winners. SVO's were out in force today, 7 total. We'll have to meet up at the next show.

As for Mustangs Unlimited. I'd never been before... I'd never been to any sort of show that only showcase a certain make/model.. But yesterday was awesome. There were so many beautiful cars every where.. Needless to say, great company, awesome cars and congrats to our winners around the board here! :D

And thinking about it, I do believe that the four eyes have really grown on me.. lol I can't wait for us (meaning my husband) to start working on our (meaning MY) Capri.. ;)

I'll post up some pics tonight! I think we got some pretty good ones. :)

I'm thinking it was the angle of the picture and the louvres (sp?) that may be throwing things off.

O.k, I haven't had a chance to REALLY post up how the day went. It started off sad when I got the call from Jeff stating that he couldn't go. Sorry about that man.:( Then it got real good when I met up with Dave (Dime_Store_Pony) and his posse! These guys were the real deal.... A Harley Davidson Pickup Truck, Lightening, Bullit, TWO 03 or 04 Cobras (I can't tell the difference and failed to ask them what years they were) and Daves awesome '85 Coupe all packed quite the visual appearance. These cars were powerful too, as just about all of them carried a supercharger with them. I wouldn't have stood a chance in hell if I raced these dudes.:cry:

From there, we all met up with the guys in Bellingham and I got to see Paul's new '82 GT:cool:, Matt's '84 GT:cool:, and Steve's '85 (or is it an '86?) GT:cool:. Dave was waiting at the Auburn rest area for us in his ultra cool '87 GT so we took off to meet up with him.

It was a very nice cruise to the show and the show was very good too. We all met up with Joe (J-Turbo) and his SVO, although I didn't get a chance to talk to him too much. Sorry Joe, I'll get ya next time.;)

All in all, it was an AWESOME time and I enjoyed myself. It's days like these that make it all worthwhile that I've invested the money into my car like I did. The comments and camradarie is always worth more than money.

Kate, nice pic's! I see that you got the camera working good enough to post the pic's. I hope that USB card reader that I lent you worked good!

I'm still trying to get my pic's together, as I have to resize and them host them. My free time today has been non-existant and I fell asleep at the computer last night so I didn't do it then either.:roll: I'll work on them and post them as soon as I can.

I didn't resize anything. Just put up on PB and copied the IMG tag to the thread

you can upload hundreds of pics at a time to your photobucket account.

Alright. I'm going to sign up. This may help me, as I couldn't post pic's from the last show either. What's wierd is that when I resize them, they're saved to the computer in the right sizing but when I upload them, my hosting site says that they're still too large.:mad:

Flock is a web browser like Fire Fox and Internet Explorer. Just don't make
it your default browser when it asks on start up. I only keep it load JUST for photo uploads only.

I didn't know that his camera could do the videos till the ride down. I didn't realize he could do as many as he did either. A digital camcorder would be really cool.

All of our group pics came out awesome. I was also glad we took those pics together when we got back into Bellingham. It's great having pictures next to your awesome ride.

That's true. I forgot about that!:roll: As it stands now, I will only be able to attend the Summer Nationals on Saturday night and Sunday. I have to work the Wed/Thurs/Fri/Sat dates. The good news? Saturday will only be until 12:00 p.m., then I can head on up.
