Hey guys, the Cruise Nights at the Wal-Mart in Halifax, Massachusetts are up and running. They will be held every Friday night from now until at least, late September. I usually roll in around 6:00 p.m. or so and hang out until dusk. Last week was the first and I couldn't go because I didn't find out about it until I had already made plans for the night. If the weather is good tomorrow night, I'll be there!

Anyone else interested in going?

hrmmmm

48.7 mi (about 1 hour 6 mins)

I think if I was going to make a long run I would like to try Bourne first...which is better Pete?

Jeff,

They're about even. What I like about the Halifax, Seekonk and the Easton shows, is that I get to see cars that I wouldn't normally see in Bourne. Sometimes, when the Halifax show gets out, we will cruise over to Plymouth and catch dinner at a Pizza place and cruise the waterfront. That's the best place to cruise during the summer.

49.7 miles for me 1 hour 6 min drive time..
Leaving at rush hour friday night... over two hours.

Since I took my Capri out storage, the begining of April. I haven't even put 49 miles on it.

Maybe, a Sunday or Saturday cruise night could work for me.
Know of any ?

I'll take a ride to the Halifax show on a Friday night. It would be cool to cruise the waterfront that's for sure.

Anyone up for the Seekonk show on a Sunday afternoon?

I really like that show because you see a lot of cool cars and there are even a few 4 eyes that show up. I go there quite often and have seen several 4 eyes. It starts around 4:30 or 5 and there are always plenty of places to park together.

Sorry guys, I was going to go but a former co-worker and friend were both leaving my former business and there was a get together for them tonight. I found out about it this morning and decided to go, after I found out that the weather was supposed to be crappy. Well, we never did get the crappy weather where I work but there was a heavy mist at my house when I got home (and I only work 10-15 minutes from my house). That's the difference between working inland and living 200 yards from the ocean's marsh.

Nope. It's the Wal-Mart at the intersection of Routes 58 and 106.

I've heard that too. If it's nice on Friday afternoon, I'll DEFINITELY be there, as I'm meeting up with my uncle and his '64 Chevy Nova.

Pete are you heading up there this week?

Ken,

Not this week. I'm leaving tomorrow morning in the Cobra to go to Laconia, New Hampshire for the Street Rod Nationals. I'll be there tomorrow and Saturday.

Yeah, I don't know too much about it. My uncle invited me up with him. We'll be staying at his house that's right on Lake Winnepesauki. He'll be in his '64 Chevy Nova. I guess this show is for cars that are OLDER than 1980 models.

I'll try to go tomorrow Jeff. Do you think the ride will be bad with the Cape traffic? I still have to deal with the insurance co. as well. I would like to go to this show soon, if not tomorrow. I'll definitely take a ride to Bangma's if I can't leave till 5 or 5:30.

capriman86

I'm in. 10 min. from my house. See if you can get Pete and Paul to go.

Hissing Cobra

I'm in but I can't get there until 5:30 as I work until 4:00. I then have to make the bank's deposit and then come home to get the Cobra. My brother probably won't be able to go because he won't get out of work until 5:00 and won't get home until almost 6:00 (he works in Hyannis and lives in Plymouth). I'll call him to find out for sure.

Do you guys want to meet up and enter/park together?

capriman86
07-18-2008, 11:18 AM
If all goes as planned yes I can meet you guys.

I don't care if its a little later or whatever.

Tell your bro to come casually late! I will stick around awhile.

Hissing Cobra

O.k. I can be to the Cumberland Farms on the opposite corner of Wal-Mart's parking lot at 5:30 if you guys want to meet there. If not, just let me know and I'll cruise on in and see you guys at the show. I called my brother and he can't make it.

That is a way from me in Acushnet, MA especially with traffic! My car isn't up to par which stinks but I would like to go to one to meet everyone that I haven't met yet. Anything in my area is usually good, although what is close to me anyway? LOL!

Dude....thank GOD I put the ttops on before we left the sub shop!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It poured so bad!!!

I had to pull over because my defrost was fogging the windshield and then I yanked the Marchal covers off.

Its confirmed, my car is NOT water tight...LOLOL

But home safe and sound. I think I am going to change my thermostat this weekend to be safe. I might also bypass the heater core NOW before it reallly lets go too.

It was a great time.
Just love hanging out with you guys...a lot of fun.

Chris...that is one sweet ass vert man...wow!

Nice pics guys. Sorry I wasn't feeling that great to go last night. I talked to Fred last night for awhile and I told him that I am going tomorrow to the show in Stoughton provided the 82 is completed today or that I'd like to get together this week for a cruise if I don't end up going.

Ken and Kate,

I apologize for not inviting you two. I didn't even think to. My buddy Will who own's a '72 Buick GS showed up tonight too and we usually go to the cruise nights together. For some odd reason, I didn't remember to call him too. I hope he wasn't upset.

Thanx Jeff for the fix and sorry Pete for the mix up.

That's o.k. Tom....I mean Chris. LOL! Don't worry. I've been getting confused with my brother for 40 years. There's many people that don't know that we're twins and I've been getting called "Paul" by many people who only know him but have never met me. Even my mother calls me by his name from time to time.

I know what you mean Pete,my father still calls me Jim or George (older brothers). I'll start worrying when he calls me Sandra (older sister). Again had a great time last night and hope we get together for a cruise soon.
