How do you put pics directly in a thread, so they are not attachments that you have to open up?...They automatically open with the thread>>>

Host them. Upload them into your photoalbum or use a hosting site(such as Photobucket.com or Imageshack.us) and they'll give you IMG code to post on forums.

Use the following line in your post.
url of the picture you want
but replace url of the picture you want with the web address of your picture.

underneath the picture you uploaded it has the link, you have 3 options for linking, URL Link, HTML Tag, and IMG Code. For forums you want to copy and paste the IMG Code.

So you can't just upload pics from your PC to a thread; you have to have them on a host server? Copy and paste won't work?

What I do is upload the pic to my FEP album. Then I right click on the pic I want and down at the bottom of the box is properties.
Click properties then you will see an address. Copy and paste that into the thread using the "insert image" icon above this box. (looks like a postcard with mountains? I guess)
If it isn't above this box you need to go into your user cp...edit options....at the bottom is misc. options...message editor interface, have that say standard editor.
hope this helps

It does; my problem is that I have about 100 images to upload and I doubt my album will hold that many.

That is a lot. Does your internet provider give you any webspace?
Make an online photo album.

I have AOL; I don't quite know what all they do offer. As for the pic amount, yeah I have a bunch. I have about 12 of my 86 when I first dragged it home, I have about 8-10 more of the car just after I moved to Ohio and had it up in the air, 24-26 of my white gauge face dash conversion with converting the bulbs to blue, 4 or 5 of my Watts link going into the 86, 4-5 when I did my 5 lug swap on the 86, 2-3 of the SVO spats and rear wing going onto the 86, 10-12 of the 84 TurboGT when I drug it home, 4 or 5 of the carnage reaved upon the poor 84 by the salvage yard I got the car from, 10-15 of the parts I have scoured from yards, and about 12 of the parts cars I got the parts from. I think that's it for the moment...but I am in the middle of an 8.8 build and swap into the 84 (5 lug/disc swap and geomerty changes), plus rebuilding the 98 Front A-arms and discs swapped into the 84.

Jared and anyone else, the easiest way is to host them on www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com). It's FREE and very easy to do. Basically, you sign up there for an account and then you can upload your pictures from your computer to their site - under your account. Once your pictures have been uploaded to your account, minimize your screen by clicking the "-" in the top right hand corner of the screen. Then, open up foureyedpride or any other website that you want to post your pictures on. Start your thread and then minimize that screen. Bring up the photobucket screen again and select the picture that you want to post. Underneath each picture, there will be an IMG CODE with a Yellow box next to it. Right click that Yellow box and the URL Code will turn Blue and a window will open. Select "Copy" and then minimize the screen again. Go back to your thread on the foureyedpride board or any other board and right click your mouse again, selecting "paste". You've now copied and pasted the URL to your thread and the picture/pictures should show up.

Use photobucket and then the IMG code. It's really simple and free. And don't worry about space. I've got about 600 images uploaded onto my photobucket.

Maybe he wants it to the top because it's helping people? Everyone who's used this method and had success, post here. If there's been a lot of success, maybe we could make this a "sticky"?

I've had great luck using photo bucket to host my pics, so I can get them into my posts.

It is helping people. I was asked how I post pics, so I sent this to the top again to show them. I just copy & paste the info from the 3rd response:
url of the picture you want
