I found one of the top Six mustangs accourning to the Top 100 Rarest Mustangs today.
I am going to work on the photos and post some tonight. The Car is currently not for sale and is only a shadow of its former Glory.
Here are the details so far:
Predator GT302 badge is still there as are most of the other tags and badges. But unfortunatly the engine and transmission are gone. It has been coverted over to a five speed from an auto( dont even know if they made them in auto) and has been ridden very hard and put up very wet many many times.
I will load a pic or two to my album. Please take a look.
Apparently there were only 6 of these made this year. Given its current condition what do you tink it would be worth?
5S0153 this should be the 52 car produced if they use the 101 starting number as in previous years.
Buck tag is still there too. But to protect the owner will not post any of it right now. Currently owened by an older gentleman that when I asked him about selling it he said Try me with an offer?
Photos will come soon but I need to make 100% sure as to put this car back to origional will cost a fortune.
Get this it had the origional rims on it but he traded them to a guy at a used car lot for the 10 holes about three years ago.
OUCH!
I cant even find photos of these on the internet anyone have some that I can use to compare its authenticity. From what I can see it is real. Just worn out.
Thanks,
Thomas

It's always a shame when really nice or rare cars get abused and deteriorate away while other people keep a very clean albight normal car of the same year. Can't wait to see teh pics though

This is the only thing I can find on them, A freind of mine had one in college and I have seen only one other one that was for sale in the Dallas area a few years ago.
Didnt seem to have much market for it at the time an 84 in red and white.
This one is pretty worn out the photos make it look better than what it is. Will post them to a host site and then to the post tomorrow.
but in the mean time read up.

Doent seem anyone knows about them or is intersted in them... I am gong to talk to him monday about what kind of a price he wants for it. if the mean time chck my album for photos as I dont care to post photos in the post any longer. Sorry.
Foxchassi, Only trying to get information fast so I figured putting it in a few related sections might get more traffic. Some people, lke me only come here and check a few sections unless we are looking for something specific or specific information on a topic.

Have you checked it for rust? Any previous accidents? I'd run the VIN through Carfax. If it is completely straight ie no rust or body damage, with no engine/trans I'd go $1000 max. Yes it's rare, but I think it'll be a long time before it significantly appreciates in value.

guess you might be right. Not too many people even know about them much less care about them.
Decided to try to help the guy sell it as I can not take on a project like this at this time.
If anyone is intersted PM me and I will send you his name and email address.

It'll be the same as the Twisters, CA Specials, etc. It'll take a while but they will eventually command a premium above a run of the mill GT. At least that's what I think.
People at one time just ignored those classic varients. No longer though.

67mach1: I know he wasn't actively trying to sell it, but if it turns out he'll take 500 or less, it may be worth picking up and holding on to, if no one else wants it and if you have room for it.

Start a thread in the FYI Ads forum, with all pertinent info, (links to) pictures, etc. and see if somebody bites. Heck, I might be interested in snatching it up and putting it away for awhile, depending on the asking price.

The problem with that car is that it is so rare that no one knows about them which unfortunately makes the car not worth very much right now. Until today I was never even aware that those were made in convertibles. Its an interesting find nonetheless. I'm curious what the owner would take for it.

So if this car was originally a Auto, does that mean CFI for this car as well?

CFI is what the guy told me. Still has wiring h arness (albeit cut off) at the firewall Apparently he knew the guy that made the changes to the car. Back when he worked at an auto dealer/repair center. Guy got the car, made a race car out of it with a 4 speed then later turned it into a 5 speed with a smaller more street drivable carb. The current owner got it from the guy that made the modifications.
Talked to him a few days ago. He wants almost 4K for the car.
Anyone still intersted?

Almost $4000 for a Predator roller without it's original drivetrain and near-impossible-to-find wheels, and with a body that needs a complete disassembly and restoration? He's dreaming.
The only thing he has going for that car now is the original GT302 badges, serial/ID tag, and hood scoop.
He needs to come down to $1000 or less for that roller.

Yeah that it a ridiculous price. Maybe he thinks it's along the lines of an old Shelby. Maybe $500-$1000 tops.

I don't know.... If i wanted a unique project like that; I'd consider spending 2G if I really wanted it. I could still "inexpensively" utilize any aero fox to donate the drivetrain, install a fresh top, fresh paint, & "wallah"....

I think I ahve located someone that will have information on these cars Sent him a letter today might know something after christmas. Before I pass along his information I want a chance to rule myself out 100%. Even at the high price(according to some) I like the car. It ran like a bat out of Hell too.
Could sell engine and get some of the purchase price back.

If someone here buys it, I have a CFI harness and maybe some other parts I'll donate to the cause.

Decided I cant afford this car right now... Bad timing. There is someone that expressed serious intrest in it via PM, He now has the information to get in touch with the owner.
After one week I will post a FYI add on this car with owners information. This should give the guy a chance to contact him and discuss the car.
All negatives aside. the car haulled butt, is extreemly solid and regardless of missing parts is very rare. Unlike a "RARE" 67 Green mustang with Red interior (they made a few of them) this ones missing parts can almost all be found from a donor car(besides rims) and whey you are done you have one of only six ever made...
Id buy it in a second if I could.
Good luck to the potential buyer and anyone else that is intersted send me a PM and I will also pass on the information before the post, but giving the guy a few days to reach him due to Christmas.
