What is an Anny?

Alright guys i've been on this board for a few months and have read a lot of stuff about Anny's. these car are capris i got that. but i can't figure any thing else about these cars. So a few questions

What makes a capri an Anny?
Interior package or body paint?
Motor and Trans combination?
did they have those mesh wheels?

I think they are referring to the 84 GT-350 anniversary edition Mustangs. They were limited edition with numbered plaques and were white with red interior. They were not capri's. You could get them in a Hatch, convertible, or T-Top hatch with a 2.3 Turbo or a V8.

If I've screwed up any of the details, hopefully someone can correct me.

are you talking about the ascMclarens? Those are capris (the four eyed ones anyway) and had mesh wheels.

i was under the impression that they are capri's. but thats why i asked.

Here is a site with lots of "anny" info.

They were made in 1984 for a time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Mustang. They are all white with red stripes and red interior.

Around 5000 total were made. 3333 of them were 5.0 hatchbacks.

About 5 or 6 years ago I could have traded in a ford escort for an 84 GT-350 convertible V8 in good condition for cheap on a dealer lot, but kept the escort because I wasn't sure if I could afford the gas mileage. I hate how we do such stupid things when we are young.

I parted a 5.0 CFI hatchback years ago that I bought out of the junkyard. In my defense, when I got it I was going to save it, but it turns out it was hit hard in the driver's door area, and there was major structural damage that had been poorly repaired.
