New England Four Eyes
First I want to welcome you to the section!!!
For the people that are new and have not seen this section:
I set up a Gmail email account and in its address book I have included everyone in the list below
With this emal account, we can zap out emails for the shows we are trying to attend as a group.
Last year was a good success and I know this year will be even better!
I personally can't wait to hit cruise nights / car shows / drag nights!
Along with meeting up with a bunch of new friends and now old friends.
This is just awesome crew to hang out with!
So....for the newbie's I have made this spread sheet below.
1 - Either post up a reply down below as other have done.
2 - If you would rather PM me the info, that is fine too.
Info we would like:

Yea I worked there this summer and after finishing my senior year at school I will continue to work there. It took me and my father (car pool ;)) about an hour and 20 mins each way. He- drives it every day. about 200-220 miles a day. I don't know how he does it but he has been commuting for that distance for close to 20 years now. He has never had a job close to home and he doesnt want to move because he loves the cape area too much. I do too :)
I will be moving closer when money is better. because personally i cant stand the drive. Its not so much the driving but the fact that it took close to 3 hours out of my day during the week. We would leave at 7 AM and get home at 7 PM.

Bryan, i don't know of that one. It's a small town so if it was being driven around, I'm sure I would have spotted it. I did see an 84 silver in Westfield near the college a few years back. The next closest SVO (other than a shell stored at the local JY) is in Munson, 86 canyon red, original owner. And there are some guys out towards Boston that I know. Small world when united by cars like these, isn't it? Keep in touch.

I think will make an EXCITING Spring! I know people like to get together, hit cruise nights / car shows / drag nights!
So....
I have made this spread sheet below....I am trying to see if I can make it editable by you's guyz too....but not sure.
So if you want to be added to the list, let me know... it will help keep track of us
and then we can send out a general email letting everyone know if some of us are
hitting a show or something. I know some people drift in and out on the board, so if your gone for awhile it will help us let you know we haven't
forgot about you!
What you think? Good idea?

Well guys, the wacky New England weather has struck again. I just checked the forecast and it's supposed to be raining at 6:00 a.m. and then turning to snow. I guess I'll just sleep in. There's always the 29th though, for the Mustangs Unlimited show. I'll start a new thread on that show so others can follow along.

I'm planning on coming up. My brother and I have been thinking about going up on a Friday night in May. We'll have to take 1/2 days from work and plan on spending the night. We'll then race on Saturday too. I'm kind of tired of making the 2.5 hour drive (one way) on a Sunday and only getting three runs in.

Nice, more members! This will equal more cars on the cruises! We should organize a Fall Foureyedpride.com cruise. It'll be members of this site and their nice rides! We could take lots of pictures and maybe put together an East Coast vs. West Coast foureyedpride competition. The criteria? Which group can put together the most members at one time. It seems like the east and west have the most (unless I'm dreaming?) It'll be the Hatfields vs. the McCoys, the Celtics vs. the Lakers, etc...etc...etc...:D

Finally I am an official member of Four Eyed Pride! I picked up an '83 GT, bright red, T-top, one owner, 60K car in need of work. It was listed in the classifieds in August, I bought it in CT. This one is going to take a bit of elbow grease, but I think I can salvage most of the original paint, as it has a nice "patina" to it.
It looks like I will be spending quite a bit of time here now.

Yeah, I was bummed about that too. This whole year has been strange for me and I didn't do half the stuff that I usually do. I think I only made the Bourne cruise night 4 times this year, only went to one Mustangs Unlimited show, didn't hit Seekonk at all and didn't go to Oakland Beach either. I feel like I missed half of the summer.:(

Here are some updated photos. I read and remembered the engines were grey and unpainted, but I just couldn't do the bare metal thing. I also didn't want to paint the engine blue - that is fine for my Cobra and older Fords, but not in a Fox, that is just my feeling. Once the accesssories are on the engine, it should look much better.

It is nice. I'm jealous! What are you doing with the engine? Is it stock?
5ohFFR
10-21-2008, 09:00 AM
The engine is a mostly-stock '85 HO. I'm adding Crane 1.7 Cobra roller rockers, 87+ factory shorty headers, offroad H-pipe, and true duals. I am also planning to remove all the EGR and excess vacuum lines and plumbing. I know the EGR on an EFI engine doesn't negatively affect anything (although there is plenty of arguments over it), but I figure this stuff has been sitting since '91, so I'm not sure it even works.
My plan is to remove the heat riser sheetmetal things that run up to the dual snorkles from a spare set of old '85 headers I bought off Ebay and weld them onto the '87+ headers. I'm trying to make the car out of factory performance parts and trying not to go with too much aftermarket stuff.
The car currently has Motorsport C springs and brand new, 0 miles, KYB struts installed. The KYB rear shocks are still in the boxes. I will be selling the KYB's soon. I bought a set of Tokico HP "blues", as I have them on another car and really like them. I am going to upgrade to 87+ spindles and the '87+ front brakes. I'm also going with the bigger clutch and putting in a spare World Class T-5 instead of the '83 T-5. I also have a 50K 3.08 geared 8.8 that I'm going to swap in place of the 7.5.
