rear gear ratio help please

i'm not sure if this is the right forum or not, since there is no decoding involved. but, here's my question. does anyone know what gear ratio my 79 302 cobra ( originally auto ) should have come with? thanks mike

Just guessing but I would say 2.73 or maybe 3.08 were optional.

The '79 5.0L engine with a three-speed automatic transmission got a 2.47:1 "open" (non-locking/limited slip) rear.

The '79 5.0L engine with a four-speed manual transmission got a 3.08:1 open rear.
